Hannah Martin London acts as a predominantly fine jewellery house for men, although none of its pieces are designed specifically for women they appeal to both genders with a clever tag line,  'Iconic fine jewellery for men, that girlfriends will steal' which allows the brand a significant female following.

I actually discovered Hannah Martin London through this very scenario when my friend Joachim and his wife Isla were both wearing the same style Hannah Martin necklace (Shaman's Triangle Simple Pendant) on an evening out. Isla explained to me that she originally bought the necklace for Joachim's birthday but would constantly borrow it. Joachim then bought her the same necklace for Christmas, so he could wear his again!

The next day I researched Hannah Martin London and realised that I was familiar with the labels androgynous creations, having met the designer at London Fashion Week's Rock Vault exhibition last year.

Hannah Martin London was founded in 2005 after Hannah returned to London following a period working for Cartier in Paris. Her collections offer sleek designs with a fundamental philosophy for each piece to tell a unique story, inspired by a visual narrative of her male muse, which are based on elements of her imagination.

My favourite piece is the Double Pearl Shackle Bracelet which has made it onto my jewellery wishlist. However this is closely followed by the minimalistic Spur Pendant. Both pieces have entirely different aesthetics but share the same contemporary edge.

Hannah Martin London is stocked on the brands website, including other retailers which you can find here.
