On Thursday evening I attended a stylish soiree, held at the ICA Gallery in London, celebrating the launch of new luxury accessories brand, Liliyang.

In a room tinted with pink lighting, guests sipped peach green tea Bellini's and nibbled the sweetest Liliyang cupcakes.

The cast of Made in Chelsea passed by to join members of the fashion press, bloggers and buyers, all viewing the array of leather goods on display.

From card holders and wallets to clutch bags, totes and shoulder  bags, there is something for all accessories aficionados to love and covet.

The women behind the brand, Lily Yang Li from China and Lucy Dyer from Sevenoaks in Kent, met each other through a family friend who recognised their potential to create something special.

Drawing on their respective heritages, Liliyang has flourished into a contemporary and innovative brand, combining traditional Chinese design elements and British elegance.

All of the bags, although entirely sophisticated are also practical as they feature a 'double bag' concept, providing maximum storage.

My favourite is the Ida, made from calf leather and available in seven different shades, I am torn between iced vanilla and the dove grey, this bag is perfect accompaniment to any outfit.

I was most impressed with the detailing on all the bags, decorative chains adorned with the Liliyang logo delicately hang from both sides of the bag. This hardware is inspired by traditional Chinese head-dresses. Elements such as these can take a brand years to master yet Liliyang has successful accomplished this from outset.

To keep up to date with all things Liliyang, like the brand on facebook and shop the collection on their website here.

It was such a delightful evening, thank you Liliyang PR girls for my lovely Liliyang canvas tote!
