With four of my close friends currently pregnant and three of my styling clients, I have spent a while talking through their individual maternity style options. I was asked to select a maternity capsule wardrobe for each of them and I was subsequently invited to speak at one of their Antenatal Classes. The feedback I received was so positive I have decided to share with you a few of the brands I recommended.
 
For those of you who are confident with your style you may think you will maintain this while pregnant, however this doesn't always happen and a few of the mums-to-be I met were not only concerned about their style throughout pregnancy but also when the baby arrives.
 
The main concern wasn't trivial either, they were questioning their identity and whether their style should now reflect that they are a Mum/Mum-to-be.  Experiencing an enormous physical and emotional change, yet alone a life change, isn't to be underestimated and naturally as you change as a person so will your style. Although your new family circumstances are not solely reliable, it is also a reflection of your age. For example I don't dress the same way I did when I was a teenager and naturally now you are pregnant you will make different fashion choices, due to taste, comfort and practicality. However what is important is that you dress for you and you alone. You are a Mum-to-be and that is very special, although you also have an identity which deserves to be expressed.
