Sophie Hulme, awarded Student of the Year and Best Collection, graduated from Kingston University in 2007 and launched her own womenswear label two months later.

The collection, focusing on creative luxury, comprises of 34 styles of dresses, jackets, bags and jewellery.  Her collection is well edited featuring clean, tailored silhouettes with masculine and feminine detailing.

Recently it is Sophie's accessories which are causing quite a stir with the fashion press.  Sophie has designed a stunning collection of tote bags, exclusive to Selfridges. Made from 100% leather, instantly recognisable by their gold plaques, these bags are literally the talk of the town and have sold out five times since they were launched in August.

The first bag I am dreaming of is The Double Plate Tote bag (pictured) The bag forms a sophisticated box-shape, available in nude or tan, with brass plates surrounding the handles embellished by a signature padlock. £490

As you may tell I am completely infatuated with Sophie's bags, entirely classical in design, they are proof that less is definitely more.
Stocked at a variety of uber-cool shops, act quickly if you want to own this seasons (and the rest) "it" bag.
