My love affair with Primark started as a student, I desired fashionable clothes to mix in with my half designer, half high street wardrobe.  Since then I have encouraged friends and colleagues to view the Primark collection as they would any another shop, forgetting the name and stereotypical views.

SS11 is without a doubt one of the best seasons Primark has had, the collections nod to the right designer influences and the quality is sublime for the price-points offered, for the simple reason they buy large quantities of stock and do not spend countless money on high profile advertising or marketing campaigns, unlike their other high street competitors.  If in doubt take a look at their ethical trading guidelines.

During a coffee with a stylist friend of mine, she asked me a direct question which took me a little by surprise.
"Would you wear only Primark for a week"?  I thought well why not test it out, after all there is nothing like a challenge, especially when I knew she thought I would state 'no' and change the subject!

So here we are. I spent a week head-to-toe in Primark to high profile events including Press Days, a Wedding, Celebrity packed press launch and Lunch at fashionable venue, Sketch.  In truth I paraded my outfits, with the most expensive costing an unbelievable £84, all over London.

I never felt out of place or concerned, instead it was difficult to stop people shrieking after I declare "yes I am only wearing Primark..and that does include the jeans..yes the bag too and the shoes"!

Overall the week was hugely satisfying, I experienced an opportunity to wear the Primark message without a requirement to shout it out because essentially the clothes spoke for themselves!
