Last week I attended the launch of Anouska Woods’s men’s collection, for Anouska London Jewellery, including the announcement of a highly exciting collaboration between Anouska and Accessories Designer Yaelle.

Yaelle designs her collection of fine crepe de chine silk scarves which derive from the Hamsa hand; capturing similar elements that are core to Anouska London Jewellery, the common thread being the cultural influence and ethos of their designs.

Yaelle said; “Yaelle Ltd is thrilled to announce that they will be collaborating with Anouska London jewellery. With many similar design influences, we feel the synergy of both brands holds an exciting future ahead”. Anouska is just as excited, she said: “Anouska London Jewellery and Yaelle have many elements that complement one another and together. I’m excited to see where this new venture takes us.”

They are both more than spot on. The shared Middle Eastern inspired collection, by both talented women has forged the unity of the two brands.

It was a great occasion for Anouska, with Celebrity fans showing their support at The Sanctum Hotel. My favourite pieces are the beautiful stacking ‘Fatima’ bracelets which are made in an array of colours.

The unveiling of the men’s collection saw male models adorned in Swarovski and Onyx necklaces and bracelets with a gothic twist including skulls and crosses.

Anouska London Jewellery has grown immensely since launching in 2008 and Anouska was hopes that the men’s collection will be as successful as her other pieces, Anouska said: “I am thrilled with how well the launch party went, it was a fabulous evening and I am glad all my guests enjoyed themselves.”. Anouska continued: “My first collection has taken off really well and it has given me the platform to release jewellery specifically for men. The Middle Eastern inspired designs appeal to men and women so I hope that all the guys out there love the new collection as much as I’ve loved creating it!”

There is no doubt that Anouska has an eye for colour and structure. She mixes metals with semi previous stones confidently, creating straightforward designs that glisten and reflect the facets of the crystal in the light.

It was a beautiful evening, and a fabulous opportunity to talk to Anouska about her work. The future is sincelerly bright for this jewellery designer!
