You may have just read on my twitter timeline that the BBC confirmed that Dame Elizabeth Taylor, one of Hollywood's greatest talents, has died at the age of 79.
Liz Taylor was one of the world's most beautiful women, she was beguiling and graceful with a unique elegance and sophistication.
She was reported to be in poor health and frail for many weeks, but Liz was no stranger to surviving, having suffered from alcohol and painkiller addictions previously.
Her signature scent, White Diamonds, is still a popular fragrance and reminds us of her passion for jewellery, especially diamonds.
Who could forget her inconic portrayal of Cleopatra, National Velvet or her charitable efforts in the battle against AIDS.
Never has the word star been more apt in its representation. RIP Dame Elizabeth Taylor.
