The Cheltenham Fashion Week (CFW) Giant Shoe Tour is well underway and has already received lots of attention, even from some well known faces! Loose Women star and esteemed Cheltenham resident, Lisa Maxwell, posed with the 12ft by 10ft fuchsia shoe and Dr. Dawn Harper from tv series, Embarrassing Bodies, was pictured standing inside the shoe.
First commissioned by New Look to stand in the window of their flagship store on Oxford Street, London, the shoe has already experienced a tour of the country before it joined the CFW team! After visiting the capital city it travelled to Doncaster Racecourse for Ladies Day next to West Yorkshire where it was bought on eBay and finally CFW snapped up the shoe after an advert was placed in a West Yorkshire paper. After a re-spray in fuchsia, the CFW logo colour, the Giant Shoe was ready to meet the fashionable residents of Cheltenham!
Having toured a variety of Cheltenham landmarks, including Cheltenham Racecourse, Cleeve Hill, and Pitville Pump Room the shoe is currently standing proud at our headline sponsor, Mercedes-Benz of Cheltenham and Gloucester.
